I had a fantastic stay at The Montenotte Hotel. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the views of Cork were amazing, especially from the lounge and restaurant. However, the food options could use some improvement, particularly for gluten-free choices. Overall, it was a nice experience that I would love to repeat.

Rooms
8.0
My room was stylish and comfortable, with a beautiful view over Cork. It was bright and well-maintained, although it felt a bit cramped at times. The bed was genuinely one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in.
Service
10.0
The service was really good, with staff like Anderson going above and beyond to ensure I enjoyed my visit. They were friendly, professional, and accommodating, which made me feel valued throughout my stay.
Location
8.0
The location is pretty good, a short downhill walk into the city—though the return can be a bit steep, so catching a taxi back was a smart choice. The hotel sits in a scenic spot that offers stunning views of the area.
Dining
7.0
Dining at the Panorama restaurant was enjoyable with some really nice food and an extraordinary view. However, the breakfast options for gluten-free diners were lacking, and I was disappointed by the limited choices available.
Facilities
9.0
The leisure facilities, including the pool and outdoor terrace, were well-kept and relaxing. I appreciated the unique decor throughout the hotel, including the beautiful gardens.

6.8/10

My stay at The Montenotte Hotel was generally enjoyable, with standout service and beautiful views enhancing my experience. However, the room size was a surprise, and noise from the hallway was a bit bothersome. The breakfast had excellent options but felt a little pricey for what I expected.

Rooms
8.0
The room was smaller than depicted, though it met our needs. The bed was comfortable, and it had great amenities like a Nespresso machine. However, noise from the corridor was distracting, and our view was disappointing, facing the car park instead of the city.
Service
10.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, with helpful service at reception and in the dining areas. David at reception made us feel especially welcome, and the camaraderie among the staff was evident.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perched on a hill with stunning views of Cork city. While this location means it's not within walking distance of the city center, taxis are readily available, making it easy to explore.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast was extensive and delicious, but at €18 per person, it felt a bit overpriced. The buffet had a good range of pastries and cooked dishes, and the quality of the food was generally high, enhancing our dining experience.
Facilities
8.0
I enjoyed the cinema experience provided by the hotel, which had cozy seating and allowed bringing drinks in. The bar offered beautiful views of the city, although I wished for a broader range of cocktail options.

I recently stayed at The Montenotte Hotel and found many aspects enjoyable, especially the creative decor and amazing breakfast. However, the experience was marred by several service issues like slow dinner service and inconvenience with the apartment access. Overall, while it had its highlights, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed by certain elements.

Rooms
7.0
My room was beautifully decorated and very clean, with comfortable beds that made for a restful night. However, I noticed that it lacked air conditioning, which made it a bit too warm during my stay.
Service
6.0
The staff were very friendly and professional, particularly the doorman who greeted me warmly. Unfortunately, the dining service was a letdown, as it was slow and unresponsive at times, especially when ordering dinner.
Location
6.0
The hotel is perched on a hill, providing nice views of Cork, but it's a bit out of the way which made getting around a little awkward at times. Navigating to the apartment area was a hassle, requiring multiple staircases.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast offered a variety of choices and was good, especially the tea served in real china. However, I experienced some delays during dinner service when items I ordered were sold out, which was disappointing.
Facilities
7.0
The pool and gym facilities were well-maintained and enjoyable to use, although there were some restrictions like needing to purchase a swim cap, which felt inconvenient.

My stay at The Montenotte Hotel was a blend of good experiences and some minor frustrations. The hotel embodies a charming atmosphere with stunning views, particularly from the lovely terrace bar. However, there were a few moments where the service could have been faster, especially during busy times, and my room's layout could have been more intuitive. Overall, the hotel has a lot to offer and I'm looking forward to returning, hoping for an even smoother visit next time.

Rooms

My one-bedroom flat was cozy and beautifully decorated, but the room layout was a bit confusing as it required using two different elevators to access the third floor. The bathroom was also quite small with limited fixtures.
Service
8.0
The staff were incredibly warm and accommodating, particularly Ken, the concierge, who was so welcoming and attentive to my needs during my stay. However, I did experience some delays in receiving service at the bar.
Location
9.0
The location is pretty ideal, overlooking the city and with beautiful gardens surrounding the hotel. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the city center, which I found relaxing and enjoyable.
Dining
9.0
I thoroughly enjoyed the dining experiences, especially the dinner which was some of the best food I had in Ireland. The breakfast buffet was extensive and offered a great selection, though I wish it lasted a bit longer.
Facilities
8.0
The outdoor terrace was stunning, providing a fantastic space for relaxation with great city views. I also appreciated the wellness options, although I didn't get to fully utilize the spa facilities this time.

My stay at The Montenotte Hotel was truly amazing, from the amazing views of Cork city to the attentive service I received. The restaurant's breakfast was a standout, offering a good array of options, though I was disappointed that I couldn't book the spa in time. Nevertheless, the ambiance and unique decor made for an lovely experience. 🌟🍽️

Situated on a hill, the location offers stunning views, although it is a bit removed from the city center. The picturesque gardens and outdoor spaces enhanced my experience.

The leisure center with its pool, sauna, and steam room was superb. Unfortunately, I couldn't indulge in the spa services as they were fully booked during my visit.
